getting old

Now they are so OLD and playing together! What happened? I can't believe how fast they have grown! They are going to be partners in crime, lol.

Mostly this post was a reflection for me, but I just wanted to share their sweet little pictures. Why do they have to grow up so fast?

The girls and I took a walk in Provo Canyon on Tuesday morning with my sister, Mary, and sis-in-law, Lorraine, and all the cousins! It was a beautiful morning and the kids loved playing together afterward in the park.

And finally, notice the locks? Well, they can be found all over our house on furniture because a certain little somebody (Abby Anne) loves to get into everything, so we were tired of the messes!!! It is a little extreme, but we couldn't take it anymore! Locks on everything! haha

Overcoming fear

I did it, I am no longer afraid to open these cans of crescent rolls. For the first few years we were married, I always had Gavin open these for me for this reason: they always made me jump when they would "pop" open. I know it is lame, but it really freaked me out. That's all!

Good day...

It was a great Sunday for a few reasons:

1. Church was great as usual and Bailey slept through part of it for once :)
2. We found our video camera in the coat closet! We thought it was lost and I was so sad about it (it has videos of the girls as babies, a family wedding, me prego, wait we can delete that part :)
3. Abby and Bailey are sleeping in the same room and Abby hasn't jumped into Bailey's crib yet! Here's hoping she won't attack during the night....

My first 5k Run (ever :)

So, my parents organized the Suncrest Race in Draper and this year was the second annual race. They have a 1/2 marathon, a 5k, and a 3k fun run. My sister, Mary, and I decided to train for the 5k last week, ya, last week :) So we didn't think we would do all that great, but I think we did great in the end! It is crazy to run in Suncrest, most of the trail was in the mountains on a dirt path with rocks, trees, etc. Then we weaved through neighborhood streets that were steep roads, up and down. Yes, I know it was only 3 miles, but it was tough. My Dad is amazing and ran the 1/2 marathon (he just turned 58). He did well too! In the end, I was just happy to have finished the race without dieing along the way :) Here are some pics.......

I wasn't smiling most of the race, I was only smiling here because Gavin was cheering me on and making me laugh. Most of the race, I couldn't breathe, lol.

Cute Cousins

Abby and her cousin, Henry, are little buddies! They are so cute together and have a blast making messes, etc :)

What the girlies are up to lately....

Lately, Abby LOVES wearing my shoes, jewelry, and having her hair curled! It is amazing considering she used to not let me even put a bow in her hair. She is becoming our girly girl. She loves carrying around a purse ALL DAY long too :)
Bailey is 10 1/2 months! We are always amazed at how fast she is growing and changing. She is starting to stand on her own a little and is into everything! Ahhh, I miss the days when she couldn't even move :) She is a busy busy girl now.
Bailey is also a Momma's girl and cries whenever I leave the room. She says "Dadda" all day and sometimes "Momma". She has also started saying "nana" like when we tell her "no", hmmmm, I hope she learns this one fast :)
Our favorite hair do on Abby, the straight-out piggys, fits her little personality so well :)
Abby is also trying to dress herself every day now. She puts on her own shoes and tops a lot. Sometimes when I come in in the morning she has some interesting combinations on :)

These two keep me busy, and we love them!
